FootJoy is another of Acushnet Company’s brands along with Titleist golf balls and clubs, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron putters that enjoys a top spot in their business segment. Though primarily known for their shoes FootJoy is also one of the best in outerwear and has come out with a new brand, lightweight rainwear for warm but rainy days.FJ Hydrolite

The brand is FJ HydroLite and the company says it is the lightest rainwear they have ever made.

HydroLites are made from 2.5-layer stretchable fabric and are of course waterproof as well as being windproof and breathable plus they as a bonus they fold up into a small size for carrying in a golf bag. The four-way stretch shell fabric has a waterproof barrier and zipper with a smooth finish on the inside which combined with being ultra-lightweight makes them ideal for layering.

“All of our outerwear pieces are designed to complement our highly successfullayering strategy that aims to Make Every Day Playable,” said Whitney Trimble, Director of Marketing, FJ Apparel. “FJ HydroLite is ideal for players in all conditions – whether it’s a layering piece in cool, wet conditions, or as an outer shell for protection during warm, wet days.”

FJ HydroLites come in a full-zip jacket (street price $160) with one model having zip-off sleeves, a rain shirt (street price $140), short sleeve rain shirt (street price $130) and for when the rain is really coming down there are rain pants (street price $100).
